The short version

This is the text you agreed to before your first upload:

Photos must be appropriate for everyone — no nudity or explicit content, no hateful imagery, nothing illegal. Photos are reviewed before other players can see them.

Everything below explains what that means in practice. This Photo Policy is part of our Terms of Service; if the two ever conflict, Section 11 of the Terms controls.

1. Uploading a photo is optional

You can use TooTall Gaming without a profile photo. If you don't upload one, you get a default avatar.

Your photo is part of your account, not one game. It appears wherever your avatar shows up, in every game you play.

2. What your photo must be

Appropriate for everyone. Members can be as young as 13. Assume the youngest person in your pool will see it.

Yours to use. Upload a photo you own or have the right to use. Don't upload a photo you found online, a copyrighted image, a company logo, or a photo of a celebrity.

Not somebody else pretending to be you. Don't use another person's photo or likeness as your own. Impersonation gets your photo removed and can get your account terminated.

If another person is in it, you need their permission. If your photo shows an identifiable person other than you, you must have their permission. If that person is under 18, you need their parent or guardian's permission.

3. What your photo must not contain

Nudity, sexual content, or sexually suggestive content
Any depiction that sexualizes a minor, in any way, ever
Graphic violence, gore, or cruelty
Hate symbols, slurs, or imagery attacking a person or group
Threats or content promoting violence or self-harm
Illegal content, or content promoting illegal activity
Another person's private information
Advertising, promotions, solicitations, or QR codes
Content that violates the acceptable-use rules in Section 9 of our Terms

4. Every photo is reviewed before anyone else sees it

When you upload, your photo is held privately and screened by an automated service that classifies image content and rejects clearly explicit images. Our systems are designed not to show it to other members until it passes.

Screening is automated and imperfect. It may be delayed, bypassed, or fail. We don't guarantee that any particular photo was screened, and a published photo has not been reviewed or approved by us.

Photos that are published and served through our systems are additionally checked against hash lists of known child sexual abuse material. That check runs on delivery, so a photo rejected at upload is deleted without being hash-checked — it never gets delivered.

This screening looks at what is in the image, not who is in it. We do not use facial recognition. We do not scan or store face geometry, faceprints, or any biometric identifier. We do not try to identify anyone, match faces, or estimate age, and we do not use your photos to train any model. Our Privacy Policy Section 5 sets this out in full.

We can remove any photo at any time, whether or not it passed screening.

If your photo is rejected, you'll be told the upload wasn't accepted and you can try a different one. Rejected photos are deleted — except where we reasonably need to keep a copy to enforce our Terms, defend a claim, or comply with law. If you think a rejection was a mistake, email support@tootallgaming.com.

5. Reporting a photo

Any member can report a photo or a nickname from inside the app. Reports go to a queue our operators monitor.

We may remove the photo, reset the nickname, suspend the account, terminate the account, or decide no action is needed. We don't always explain the outcome, and we may act on a photo whether or not anyone reported it.

You can also block a member, which hides their photo and posts from you. Blocking is not symmetrical and does not notify us — Section 10.4 of our Terms explains exactly what it does. If something violates this policy, report it.

6. Photos of children

Do not upload a photo of a child as your avatar, including your own child. TooTall Gaming is a social platform with chat and members who may not all know each other. Photos of identifiable children don't belong here.

If you believe a photo of your child has been uploaded by someone else, email support@tootallgaming.com and we will review it and, where appropriate, remove it. You don't need to prove anything beyond a reasonable explanation of the relationship. You can also report the photo in the app.

7. Child sexual abuse material

Any image that sexually exploits a minor results in immediate and permanent account termination — and, as federal law requires, a report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and preservation of a segregated copy of the material for one year after we report it. We cooperate fully with law enforcement.

That preservation happens regardless of any deletion, including account deletion. It is a legal obligation we cannot waive. Section 8.4 of our Privacy Policy sets out the full retention terms.

8. Changing or removing your photo

Change or remove your photo any time in account settings.

When you delete your account, your photo is deleted from our database and from our image storage — subject only to the legal preservation obligation in Section 7.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Photo Policy. When we do, we'll post the updated version with a new effective date. If we make a material change, we may ask you to accept it again before your next upload.

10. How to read this policy

Headings and summaries in this policy are for convenience only and do not affect its meaning. Where a heading or summary is shorter or more absolute than the text beneath it, the text controls. This policy is incorporated into our Terms of Service; where it conflicts with Section 11 of the Terms, Section 11 controls.
